Advocate Nausheen Yousuf is the Founder-Partner at TKNY ADVOCATES and TKNY LEGAL RESERVOIR.
She has a rich experience of 15 years dealing in cases pertaining to Matrimonial Litigation, Domestic Violence, Muslim Law, etc. She represents litigants in Family Courts, District Courts, Magistrates Courts, Sessions Court across Mumbai, Thane, Navi-Mumbai. She takes up cases at the High Court at its Original and Appellate Jurisdiction.
Nausheen has been conducting trainings for the State and Non-State Stake Holders under the Domestic Violence Act and Muslim Women Act across Maharashtra. Her sessions cover a wide range of audience’s right from the judicial officers to the protection officers, NGO’s, CBO’s, colleges, corporates, teachers, professors, etc.
Nausheen believes in networking with the like-minded people. She is keen on engaging with young minds, as she believes in their potential and channelizing their energies in the right direction.
Nausheen was a part of a Mumbai based NGO where she last worked as a Program Director. She was a consultant and a mentor to their internal team of lawyers. Additionally, she initiated various college programs and events during her tenure. She got together like-minded individuals and organizations on a common platform, worked on their capacity building programs and initiated various events under the said banner. She initiated various stake holder’s networking meetings and trainings including:- judicial officers, protection officers and legal aid officers. She was called as a resource person to the Maharashtra Judicial Academy on a number of occasions for sessions on Muslim Law and Domestic Violence. Nausheen also identified and raised campaign issues during her work at the ground level to help make changes at large. She has done trainings for various Internal Committees and employee awareness programs under the POSH Act. She has been a part of the research team and helped with her inputs in the publication of the Handbook on the Domestic Violence Act in the past.
At present, Nausheen is a mentor and a consultant to a team of lawyers at Lucknow and Ranchi. She is working towards bringing systematic changes through her intervention. She is a member of WICCI Maharashtra. She is also an external committee member under the Sexual Harassment at Workplace Act.
